CaryLive!: Kobo Town
Elevate your Saturday evening with the vibrant rhythm of CaryLive! Join us in the Park for this free concert featuring Kobo Town and opener, Ashley La Rue.
Named after the storied district in Port-of-Spain, Trinidad, where calypso was born, Kobo Town is a blend of lilting calypsonian wit, dancehall reggae, and trombone-heavy brass with a transnational composite of rhythm, poetry, and activist journalism. Since their founding in 2005, the group has brought their distinct sound to audiences across the world.
With, a fine blend of acoustic, reggae, alt rock, and what can only be described as “her sound”, opener Ashley LaRue and her band reach out to the world with messages of positivity, hope, and good vibes.
