International Day of Dance with Graceful Expressions

Get ready to dance, Cary! Our second annual International Day of Dance Festival comes to the Downtown Cary Park with free performances, workshops and classes for all ages! Classes are organized by Graceful Expressions and do not require pre-registration, just show up and join in. All levels of experience are welcome! The day will finish with performances featuring community groups from all around Cary.

Explore workshops and performances happening across the Park! See the full schedule below, including activity times and locations.

• Morning Classes:
  • 10-10:45 a.m.: Senior Dance, Stretch and Move Class in the Academy Pavilion
    • Plan to participate in chairs or on your feet in this gentle, guided dance class 
    • For all abilities and experience levels. 
  • 10-10:30 a.m.: Preschool Dance and Story Time on the Great Lawn Pavilion Stage
    • Join us for an interactive story and dance class — for preschoolers and their grown ups! 
  • 12-12:45 p.m.: Adult Dance Lunch Break with Willie Hinton on the Great Lawn Pavilion
• Afternoon Classes:
  • 4-4:45 p.m.: Contemporary Dance for ages 12+ with Willie Hinton in the Gathering House
  • 4:15-4:45p.m.: Kids’ Dance Party with Graceful Expressions on the Great Lawn
  • 4:15-4:45p.m.: Preschool Story and Dance with Graceful Expressions in the Academy Pavilion
    • Join us for an interactive story and dance class — for preschoolers and their grown ups! 
  • 4:50-5:30 p.m.: Hip Hop for ages 9+ in the Gathering House
  • 5-5:40 p.m.: Ballet for ages 6-10 with Graceful Expressions in the Academy Pavilion
  • 5-5:45 p.m.: Musical Theater Class for all ages with Victoria from NC Dance Institute on the Great Lawn Pavilion Stage
  • 6-6:30 p.m.: Tango lessons for all ages with Triangle Tangueros on the Great Lawn Pavilion Stage
• Throughout the Park:
  • 5:45-6 p.m.: There will be site-specific dance performances throughout the Park, so keep an eye out for these!
• Evening Performances on the Great Lawn Pavilion Stage:
  • 6:45-8:15 p.m.: Performances by the following groups
