Jazz up your Sundays in Downtown Cary Park with our robust jazz series, produced by Christian Tamburr. Free and open to the public, this series promises to be a melodic journey through the vibrant world of jazz, featuring talented musicians and unforgettable performances.

“The Sister Moon Project“: Celebrating the Music of Sting & The Police 

“The Sister Moon Project” celebrates the iconic songbook of Sting and The Police, with brand new arrangements reimagined by renowned jazz vibraphonist/pianist and arranger Christian Tamburr. Leading the performance is musical prodigy saxophonist-songwriter GRACE KELLY, who’s collaborations include touring and recording with Lin Manuel-Miranda, Dave Brubeck, Harry Connick Jr, Questlove and performing as featured member of “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” band. On vocals CHRISSI POLLAND, who’s known for weaving roots, jazz and soul together for captivating performances around the world including current touring with Chris Cross & Toto, Michael Bolton, Sting, Dave Weckl, Lady Gaga and many more. These two powerhouse artists are backed by arranger/musical director CHRISTIAN TAMBURR and his quartet who’s garnered performances at venues such as Lincoln Center, The Kennedy Center, O’Lympia in Paris and the Blue Note Tokyo. This six-piece ensemble will bring influences of jazz, world-beat, soul and rock to this incredible collection of music by Sting and The Police, representing one of the best selling artists in the world!
