Jazz’d Up Sundays: The Noel Freidline Quartet and Maria Howell
Jazz up your Sundays in Downtown Cary Park with our robust jazz series, produced by Christian Tamburr. Free and open to the public, this series promises to be a melodic journey through the vibrant world of jazz, featuring talented musicians and unforgettable performances.
“Catching Some Rays”: The Music of Ray Charles
“Catching Some Rays” explores the diversity through song and narrative anecdotes, weaving it’s way through Charles’ life, music and how he became the father of soul music. Pianist NOEL FREIDLINE and vocalist MARIA HOWELL define chemistry, musically breathing as one, communicating on stage almost telepathically as they explore and re-interpret some of Ray Charles best songs. The quartet is one of the top touring jazz ensembles in the Carolina’s and around the country.
