Live at Lunch: Ed Stephenson Duo
Spend lunch at Downtown Cary Park enjoying live musical performances as the melodious backdrop for the break in your day.
Live music will be performed by the Ed Stephenson Duo on Academy Plaza. Eduardo de Rosamaria (Edward Stephenson) and Alanna/Sony Recording Artist from Toronto has performed classical/Flamenco concerts throughout North America and Spain as a soloist and in multiple ensembles. Presently residing in Raleigh, North Carolina, he has performed for North Carolina Symphony, Raleigh Symphony, North Carolina Theater, North Carolina Bach Festival, the Raleigh Ringers, and North Carolina Guitar Quartet. He has multiple solo recordings which can be found on all major platforms and will be releasing two new recordings in the fall, featuring him performing with the Raleigh Symphony Orchestra and the North Carolina Guitar Quartet.
Following in the footsteps of her father, Cat Albanese has learned that of all the segments and mindsets concerning the role of a performer, the most fulfilling one is approaching entertainment with a servant’s heart. Whether it’s providing background music at a restaurant or private event, or performing in a large theater, music hall, or stadium, her goal is to li the atmosphere and provide an enlivening experience for audience members and bandmates alike. Being a percussionist is her favorite, but Cat also plays piano, guitar, ukulele, and sings. In the past she’s worked with Bull City Syndicate, Captain and the Keels, American Manna, Elder, The Mixx, NCXS, and 1999 Problems. Currently, Cat is the percussion boss for a Flamenco ensemble headed by renowned guitarist Ed Stephenson, a role she’s filled since 2011. And for decades she’s always played some kind of instrument at church. Rounding out her humble legacy, Cat teaches music to students of all ages… just like her dad
