Movie Night: Barbie
Just in time for International Women’s Day (March 8), join us for Barbie (PG-13) in the Park, curated by The Cary Theater.
Barbie (Margot Robbie) begins questioning her perfect life in Barbie Land and travels to the real world with Ken (Ryan Gosling) to find answers. There, she confronts societal expectations, gender dynamics, and the complexities of human identity, while Ken explores his own sense of self. Together, they redefine their roles, embracing individuality and the imperfect beauty of reality.
Come early to enjoy pre-screening activities for all ages, making it a perfect night out for everyone. Snap a picture in our life-sized Barbie box photo op, get creative as you make your own Barbie visor, and treat yourself to delicious cotton candy for sale. Prescreening activities are from 6 – 7:30 p.m. in Academy Pavilion. The film will begin at 7:30 p.m.
Grab your cushions, blankets, and chairs for ultimate comfort as you settle in to enjoy the film. Food trucks will also be on site.
